# Track CustomFit-Influenced Orders in Shopify

This guide explains how to set up Shopify Flow so you can automatically tag orders influenced by CustomFit and then easily find those orders inside the Shopify admin.

### What this setup does

Once the workflow is installed and turned on, Shopify Flow will automatically add tags to orders based on the CustomFit experience or behaviour associated with them. You can then go to your Orders section in Shopify and filter orders using those tags. Shopify supports order tags and lets you filter orders by tagged orders from the admin.

### Before you begin

Make sure that:

* Your Shopify store is active, and you have access to the Shopify admin.
* CustomFit order tagging is already enabled on your store.
* You have permission to install apps in Shopify.
* You have the CustomFit Flow template file ready for import.

Shopify Flow is installed from the Shopify App Store and then accessed inside the Shopify admin.

### Step 1: Install Shopify Flow

Shopify Flow is Shopify’s automation tool that lets you run workflows based on store events such as order creation.

#### How to install

1. Log in to your Shopify admin.
2. Open the Shopify Flow app listing here:\
   **Shopify Flow app:** [https://apps.shopify.com/flow](https://apps.shopify.com/flow?utm_source=chatgpt.com)
3. Click **Install**.
4. Complete the installation steps in Shopify.

After installation, you can access Flow from your Shopify admin under **Apps > Flow**.

#### Step 2: Download and import the CustomFit workflow template

Follow the steps below

* Download the **CustomFit Order Influence Tagger** template from [here](https://cdn.customfit.ai/assets/misc/CustomFit%20Order%20Influence%20Tagger.flow).
* In Shopify admin, go to **Apps > Flow**.
* Open Shopify Flow.
* Choose the option to **Import** a workflow.

* Upload the downloaded template file.

<figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2F798pMPy9P1vuhTiryqkx%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=b1c2b250-338e-4747-b055-0fda8836178c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Wait for the workflow to appear inside Flow.

<figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2FRjGu5FslXV1KHXFjF9S0%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=0037b157-fc66-4894-ab1b-96293d2e40a2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### What to check after import

After the template is imported, confirm that:

* The workflow is visible in Shopify Flow
* The workflow name is **CustomFit.ai Experience Order Tagger**
* The workflow has been imported without any errors

#### Step 3: Activate the workflow

Importing the workflow alone is not enough. The workflow must be activated before Shopify Flow starts processing new orders. Shopify Flow lets merchants turn workflows on and off from within the app.

How to activate the workflow

* Open **Apps > Flow** in Shopify admin.
* Open the imported workflow named **CustomFit.ai Experience Order Tagger**.
* Review it once.
* Click **Turn on workflow**.

* Make sure the workflow status shows as active.

<figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2FZ5slDufkxjQtaDFV0ar5%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=e4ddfd29-a34c-4265-9a7b-7cbf21898e15" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Step 4: How the workflow works

Once the workflow is active, it starts monitoring newly created orders.

#### What happens in the workflow

When a new order is created:

1. The workflow checks the order for CustomFit experience data.
2. If the required CustomFit information is present, the workflow prepares one or more tags.
3. Those tags are added to the Shopify order automatically.

Shopify Flow includes an **Add order tags** action specifically for this purpose.

Example

If a shopper places an order after interacting with a CustomFit experience, the order may be tagged with a CustomFit-related tag. This makes it easier for your team to later search and review those influenced orders from Shopify admin.

#### Step 5: View CustomFit-influenced orders in Shopify

Once tagged orders start coming in, you can view them from the **Orders** section in Shopify admin. Shopify allows order lists to be filtered by tags.

* Log in to your Shopify admin.
* Go to **Orders**.

<figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2FsNGSPB8OVVSWyhEHqwOr%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=696de85e-1583-4390-a867-078cdb92d6a9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Click the search or filter area and select the Tagged with from the dropdown options.

<figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2Fav7qvi7pd2sCkirsXTEo%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=5a6b7cd1-088a-4d28-8e37-ff4cf8c375c2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Enter the tag value you want to filter by. For example, CustomFit\_Price\_fixes\_1\_v1

<figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2FePe0zBLU0NtubFl29l22%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=e05a5b87-bc6d-4162-9a23-ebf4ac7c7afa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Apply the filter.

<figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2Fsq2SotnRJCKdKggHJelX%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=eb0374f5-7479-4e5e-b314-0639588add23" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You should now see the list of orders that were tagged by the CustomFit workflow.

#### Step 6: Save a filtered view for faster access

If your team wants to regularly review influenced orders, you can save the filtered order view in Shopify.&#x20;

Shopify supports saving filtered order views for repeated use.

#### How to save the view

* After applying the CustomFit tag filter in **Orders**, click **Save**.

  <figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2F2yDeR59xsEL1qaXOYZaF%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=abcd3a2a-4890-409f-a967-7edaaf6d02dd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
* Give the view a clear name, such as: CustomFit-Influenced Orders

<figure><img src="https://1136256215-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MUgAFLO61VraHX8jwLt%2Fuploads%2FRnjxmXpzdrwNqyrgQc08%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=fd534cd1-f820-4201-82ea-e49447e52d19" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Save the view.

This makes it easier to revisit the same filtered list later.
